PROJECT OVERVIEW
As part of a partnership between Mastercard and Live Nation, I was responsible for designing email templates and a loading screen experience for users accessing presale tickets. The email templates highlighted exclusive Live Nation events with presale access for Mastercard holders. Additionally, I designed a waiting room page for users being redirected to the Priceless (by Mastercard) platform. The waiting room provided key information, including a countdown for position in line, a dynamic animation I created, and a clear CTA to help users find alternative presale events. I also designed for multiple edge cases to manage scenarios like high traffic or maintenance issues.

I began by analyzing common waiting room designs across similar platforms to identify best practices. This helped guide the layout and features I included in the Priceless waiting room, ensuring that users would have a clear and engaging experience while they waited for access.

I created visually compelling email templates that clearly communicated the value of presale access to Live Nation events for Mastercard holders. These templates were designed with simplicity in mind, ensuring that the key information—event details and how to access presales—was easy to find and understand.

For the Priceless waiting room, I designed a dynamic loading screen that featured a countdown, along with an animation I created to visually represent the user’s position in line. The page included clear copy that explained the purpose of the page and when the information was last updated. I also implemented a CTA that allowed users to redirect to other music presales in case they no longer wished to wait or if they accidentally landed on the page.

Anticipating potential issues, I designed unhappy paths to account for scenarios like high traffic or site maintenance. These paths ensured users were informed and guided appropriately if they encountered errors or delays, maintaining a smooth experience even under challenging conditions.
THE RESULT/impact
The email templates successfully drove engagement with Mastercard holders, effectively communicating presale access to Live Nation events. The waiting room design provided users with a clear, engaging, and transparent experience while waiting, reducing uncertainty and improving satisfaction. The inclusion of fallback paths for error scenarios ensured users had clear instructions if something went wrong, enhancing the overall reliability of the experience.
